In this step , the Government of Uttrakhand initiated a scheme in name of Ekal Mahila Swarozgar Yojana for single women making them empowered to start their own business or get themselves work . This scheme was introduced in respect of the International Womens Day and under this scheme to all registered women financial assistance shall be provided through direct bank transfer benefit . The scheme will not only entitle women to receive funds for their business but will also include a subsidy in repayment of this credit.

Mahila Ekal Swarozgar Yojana Scheme Summary and Benefits 2023
The CM of Uttrakhand issued guidelines for launch of the scheme Ekal Mahila Swarozgar Yojana 2023 where women entreprenuers will be entitled financial benefit of Rs 1 lakh to women . This fund shall be used by women for setting up their business and these funds shall be granted to some special category of women only including widows , abandoned, divorced or womens suffering from crime or acid attacks .
Also , the scheme will entitle benefit to the women of age of 45 years . Under this scheme, the women who are facing difficulties in receving aid from financial institution in setting up their business for which a 50 percent subsidy for loan repayment shall be provided to the applicants.

Goals of Uttarakhand Ekal Mahila Swarojgar Yojana for Women Applicants
It was objective of the Uttrakhand Government to help women through the CM Ekal Mahila Swarozgar Yojana to grant money directly to their bank account to start their business. Women under this scheme shall have to provide details of their prospects for usage of these funds . In this aspect , the living conditions of the women will also be improved under this scheme . It was reported by the Social Welfare Department , that about 3 to 5 lakh women in Uttrakhand which are single require assistnce from the Government for setting up their business.
For setting up their business , the scheme will approve funds for the following business category by women :
- Agriculture
- gardening
- sheep and goat farming
- poultry farming
- animal husbandry
- Fisheries
- horticulture
- fruit and food processing
Other than above , if their is a legit proposition from the women applicant than funds for other categories are also provided to the applicant candidates.

Eligbility and Benefits of CM Ekal Mahila Swarozgar Yojana 2023
The scheme is yet to issue details and the application procedure , while for applicant to become eligible for the scheme the following benefits and eligibility be decided for the scheme :
The benefits in the scheme include financial assistance to women which are destitute and do not hold any financial support in their life and has become dependent . Women who want to start their business or by any way want to start their employment . Under the scheme , benefit to destitute women will also be entitled in the way of 50% subsidy for credit amount allowed to them . Even existing destitute women with established business with requiring some funds shall also be eligible for the scheme.
The eligibility for the scheme also included :
- The applicant women shall be from Uttrakhand for the scheme .
- Only women shall be able to apply for the scheme .
- Minimum age of applicant shall be 25 to maximum of 45 years.
- Only widow , divorced , abandoned and victims of crime or acid attack shall be eligble for the scheme.
- Annual income of the application shall be maximum Rs 72000
- The women applicant should not be associated with any government orgnisation in employement .
- Disabled women shall also be eligible for the scheme .
